The ruins of Ardrossan castle are on Castle Hill just to the south of the main town centre.

The castle was built in the 12th century and went out of use in 1648 or so after being destroyed by the troops of Oliver Cromwell.

Access is free and simple enough on foot from the north. Free parking as well.
