The Galeón “Andalucía” is a realistic full-size replica of a 17th century Spanish galleon.
Operated as a living museum it travels the coasts of Europe with interactive exhibits, period demonstrations and accurate reproductions of the food and living arrangements of the crew.
For the technically-minded there's navigational tools, cannons and contemporary sailing equipment.
(No Sat-Nav in those days, other than by looking at the stars.)
In the 1600s Spanish Galleons - armed merchant ships - were a prized target for pirates and privateers as they sailed to and fro across the Atlantic, Caribbean and Pacific.
As you can see from the number of people on board and waiting on the quayside it's a popular attraction.
