This world-famous museum was modernised and re-opened in March, 2022, making
it if anything even better than before.
It still looks so fresh and clean that these photos could almost be an architect's projection of what it would look like when finished.
Sir William Burrell was a collector of art, antiques and antiquities who left his collection to the people of Glasgow. Entry is free but there's a charge for parking.
A few hundred yards away, in the same park, is Pollok House, currently under scaffolding for restoration work. It's another fine museum, one of several in the city, which is planned to re-open in the spring of 2026. Photos later.
