A few miles north of Kilwinning beside the A737 as can be seen in the third photo.

Run privately by volunteers this is a fascinating place to visit. It's on the banks of the River Garnock set in a loop of the river and was powered in the old days by a water-wheel.

The museum features farming equipment and costumes from rural Ayrshire over a long period of time.

The café has a good reputation and the museum staff are friendly and helpful. There's free parking right outside and more a few yards away towards the main road.
