It's alongside the northern ring road avoiding the town centre.
Normally the pond is full of boats and sailboarders, there's the ubiquitous café and the parking is free and plentiful.
The park is popular with joggers and walkers doing laps of the pond to keep fit. There's a defibrillator available at the main building.
