The current state of ferries to Arran is, to put it mildly, frustrating.
A new ferry - M.V. Glen Sannox - was delivered years late and doesn't fit in the port of Ardrossan from where it was intended to sail. Do the people in charge not have a tape measure?
Meantime older ships, long past their planned service life, are being patched up to keep the lifeline Arran service operating. None of this is helped by yet more delays on another new ferry.
