The new play park - recently named Sea Monster - under construction at Irvine Beach Park.
There's also a re-routing of the access road to the car park at the point and an upgrade to the harbour mouth tower.
Work was scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2026.
Expect a skatepark, monsters, a pirate ship, a chute, several slides and loads of seating for the parents, grandparents and guardians to safely watch.
No swings or roundabouts, however. Health and safety are no fun.
The last two photos show the views from over the river looking south to the Beach Park and beyond and from over the sea, out beyond the harbour point, looking east or inland.
