Some views of Kilmarnock Golf Club, Barassie right next to Barassie Station on the Irvine to Ayr line.

Like so many others along the coast this is a links course.

The club began as Ossington Golf Club at Holmes Farm in the south of Kilmarnock on the banks of the River Irvine back in 1887 and moved to Barassie in the 1890s.

The last photo shows the location of the club at the north end of Troon. The course is bounded to the north by Dundonald Links and is across the railway line from Western Gailes. Troon Darley course is a few yards away to the south
