Burns Centre

The Burns Monument Centre was built around the original Burns Monument and is in fact an East Ayrshire Council registry office and information centre.

Despite having brown tourist information signs pointing to it from all local main roads the centre is closed at weekends and on public holidays.

From the south you can easily see the building has been added to the original Victorian structure housing the statue.

From the east the town is below the park and on the horizon is the Isle of Arran.

And from the west. The hill drops away sharply on this side down towards the Kilmarnock Water and the town centre.
