Officially the Mossyard Millennium Labyrinth and laid out on a patch of grass on the Garvellan Rocks directly south of the camping and caravan park at Mossyard Farm, which is right on the A75 Stranraer to Gretna road.

Built by local children in 1999 and restored by a local family in 2020 this is a classical unicursal design which in various forms dates back at least 4,500 years (not a misprint) and can be found all over the planet in all types of civilisations.

You enter at the bottom left as seen in the first two photos and make seven changes of direction to reach the central stone. The seven turns are said to be significant.

As you can see it's easy to walk to across the sands at low tide. To save us a trip back can you please imagine it at high tide and surrounded by water. Thanks for that.

More locally there's a similar labyrinth at Dunure Castle and a few others yet to be photographed.

We'll add more as time goes on. Same pattern, different colour palette and locations.
