You don't often see a building with a lace curtain draped over it.

It's on the main road through Newmilns (the A71 from Irvine to Edinburgh) in the Irvine valley in East Ayrshire.

Newmilns was for many years a major centre for lace-making and this is a tribute to that time.

Morton Hall (Newmilns Library), Trust Housing Association (Lady Flora's) and the lace mural in one shot.

Lady Flora's is an old school converted to sheltered housing.
